The Wacky World of Womanhood comes to The Lit Chick Show

It's difficult enough to be a woman in this modern world, but imagine being a woman going through the change of life (and still have to live in this modern world!). Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!!! This is what humourist and writer, Vicky DeCoster shares with the rest of us through her award-winning books... and her rose-coloured glasses :-)

So come on, and take a peek at what Vicky has to say.

  2. Awriiiight! A fellow humourist! Rock on, Vicky...good to know we can laugh through The Change (which hasn't started for me yet). I had to wear dorky glasses in school too, and, in fact, I am STILL a total dork and quite proud of it! So let's be total dorks together. I'll bring the Bee Gees records and you can bring the Shaun Cassidy posters and maybe Sylvia can bring the Diet Coke since dorks aren't cool enough to have big-girl drinks ;)

Wicked glasses...but that nose, really...maybe it's time to lay off the wine ;)

  3. I read and reviewed her book "The Wacky World of Womanhood." She is one funny lady!

BTW, Sylvia, Google has opted to use as my profile picture an icon that looks like I'm excitedly yielding to the dark side. Obviously they know something I don't :-D

  4. What a gift I just gave myself by watching this episode of the Lit Chick Show with Vicky DeCoster, at the tail end of "one of those days." So often there is a wonderful dose of truth to be found in humor, and Vicky's book comes across as one that will not only be a fun read, but wise--both of which make for a winning combination.

Thank you for introducing us to another intriguing author, Sylvia. And wishing you the best, Vicky. I have a strong sense that yours is a book I will much enjoy reading.

@Nicole, I thought you'd like to meet Vicky--the two of you need to collaborate on something. I can just imagine how funny it would be, too. Woo hoo!

  7. Okay, this is a test to see if I can comment with my name and website. If this goes through, others can leave their comments in this way, unless they have a profile through Blogger or others.

    Here it goes! :-)

  9. Hi all, just posting on behalf of Vicky because she couldn't get through on Blogger. This has been a long-standing problem and blogger are obviously not fixing it. Anyway, here is what Vicky wrote:

@Sandy, so glad you enjoyed the interview and the tweet!

@Nicole, I'm so happy to finally have a roommate in Dorkville. I've been waiting so long. Now if we can only convince Shaun Cassidy to move in ...

@Dannye, you are such a wonderful supporter of authors everywhere and so funny. Keep me laughing!

@Barbara, simply loved your comment and am so glad you enjoyed a good laugh. I'd love to hear what you think of the book when you're done. Come visit me at wackywomanhood.com.

@Anonymous, Keep laughing, it is the secret to a happy everything!

  11. Hi Carol, hope things with you are going well. You are 100% right--we definitely need to find more humour in our lives. Even when things are going bad for us, a little bit of a laugh will always help to make it better.

I'm laughing a lot more these days!

    Regards,
    Sylvia Massara
